Why You May Be Unable to Book a Hail

If you’re unable to request a hail in the VI Hail app, it’s usually due to one of the reasons below. Follow the steps in each section to resolve the issue quickly.


1. Wallet Balance Is Too Low

VI Hail uses a prepaid wallet system.
You must have enough funds in your wallet before a hail can be authorized.

How to Check

  • Tap the menu icon (☰)

  • View your wallet balance under your profile name

How to Fix

  • Go to Menu (☰) → Wallet → Funding

  • Add funds using the secure Stripe portal

  • Retry booking your hail


2. Location Services Are Disabled or Restricted

VI Hail automatically uses your current location.
If location permissions are turned off or limited, the app cannot match you with drivers.

How to Fix

  • Enable Location Services

  • Allow location access while using the app

  • Enable Precise Location (iPhone)


3. No Drivers Are Available

Driver availability depends on:

  • Your location

  • Time of day

  • Number of drivers currently online

What You Can Do

  • Wait a few minutes and try again

  • Move to a more populated area

  • Reopen the app and retry


4. Destination Entry Issue

If your destination is invalid or outside service areas, the hail request may fail.

How to Fix

  • Re-enter your destination

  • Choose from suggested locations

  • Try a nearby or well-known destination


5. App Needs to Be Restarted or Updated

Temporary app or connection issues can block booking.

How to Fix

  • Close and reopen the app

  • Check for updates in the App Store or Google Play

  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection
