Notifications Not Working

Notifications Not Working?

Notifications help hailers stay informed about important updates such as:

  • Driver acceptance

  • Driver arrival

  • Hail status changes

If notifications aren’t working, follow the steps below.


Check App Notification Settings

Make sure notifications are enabled for VI Hail.


iPhone (Apple iOS)

  1. Open Settings

  2. Tap Notifications

  3. Select VI Hail

  4. Turn Allow Notifications ON

  5. Enable:

    • Lock Screen

    • Notification Center

    • Banners

  6. Make sure Sounds are enabled


Android

  1. Open Settings

  2. Tap Apps

  3. Select VI Hail

  4. Tap Notifications

  5. Turn Allow Notifications ON

  6. Enable all relevant notification categories


Check Do Not Disturb & Focus Modes

Notifications may be blocked if:

  • Do Not Disturb is enabled

  • Focus Mode is active (iPhone)

  • Battery or background restrictions are applied

Disable these modes while using VI Hail.


Allow Background Activity

Android

  • Remove VI Hail from battery optimization

  • Allow background data usage

iPhone

  • Allow background app refresh for VI Hail


Restart the App

Close and reopen the VI Hail app to refresh notification services.


Common Questions

I didn’t get a driver notification
Check notification permissions and ensure Do Not Disturb is off.

Notifications worked before but stopped
App or system updates can reset notification settings.

Do I need notifications enabled?
Yes. Notifications are strongly recommended to avoid missed hails.
